How a WeFiks fence goes up

One backyard, start to finish.

A corner lot in the Valley: about 180 feet of 6-foot horizontal cedar with a driveway gate, then stained redwood-red. Same yard, four stages, no stock photos.

New fence posts set in concrete along the driveway before the boards go on Horizontal cedar boards going onto the rails, screwed one by one Finished horizontal cedar fence and gate at the entry, natural wood The same fence after three coats of redwood stain Posts
01

Posts in concrete. Every one.

Old fence and footings out first. Then the line is strung, holes dug to depth, and every post plumbed and set in mixed concrete. This is the day that decides whether the fence is still straight in ten years, so we don't rush it.

Boards on, screwed not nailed.

Cedar boards on the rails one at a time, even gaps, tops in a straight line, a cap on top. Horizontal fences show every mistake, so each board is levelled before the next one goes on.

03

A gate that closes with one finger.

The driveway gate gets a braced frame, heavy hinges and a latch that lines up, because a sagging gate is the first thing everyone notices. Sawdust gone, lawn raked, photos sent.

Three coats, both sides.

New wood drinks the first coat. We stain both faces, posts and rails, three coats for even color, then seal it. The customer picked redwood red; you choose the color from samples on the visit. Written warranty in your text messages.

      Why homeowners pick us

Three things we do that most fence guys won't.

Cedar boards going onto posts set in concrete
      01

Every post in concrete, to depth.

Not tamped dirt, not a bag of dry mix poured in the hole. Holes dug to depth, gravel at the bottom for drainage, posts plumbed and set in mixed concrete. Steel posts hidden inside the wood if you want a fence that will outlive the boards.

It's the part you can't see once the boards go on, and the reason most fences lean after five years and ours don't.

      02

A price that's actually the price.

You get a written proposal with the exact footage, style, height, gates and finish, a fixed price, and a start date. If we hit something unexpected in the ground, such as old concrete or a root ball the size of a car, we show you a photo and the price before we touch it. Nothing changes without your written approval.

A licensed contractor, not a guy with a truck.

WeFiks is a licensed, bonded and insured general contractor. That matters the day a post hits a water line, the day a neighbor complains, or the day you sell the house and the buyer asks who built the deck. Same team builds your fence, gate, deck or patio cover, and sends you photos at the end of every day.
